My name is Rohan Tandon. I work across mediums including— Product Design, Augmented-Reality (AR) development, and Illustration; focused on creating world-class digital experiences.
I am deeply invested in the field of human-centered design, bridging the nuances of technology and behavioral science. My passion for interface design came about in June 2013 when Apple introduced iOS 7. As a Gen Z, I have grown up to be a technology-optimist. My mission is to craft experiences that feel like magic and inspire creativity. While software products are everywhere, truly magical products are rare. As a visionary designer, I aim to elevate software design to the next level with forward-thinking, elegant designs and solid craftsmanship.
My diverse experience in product delivery includes building products from scratch (0 → 1) in seed-stage startups, expanding functionalities for SaaS companies across multiple platforms (1 → N), and everything in between. My approach to product design is full stack and end-to-end, which means I’m involved in every stage of the user experience design process, from research and prototyping to testing and implementation. I'm constantly looking beyond the design phase of the process, with the goal of solving complex challenges that align with business values.
In 2023, I designed, developed and published two SwiftUI apps of my own on the Apple App Store— Celebrating Home (iPhone, iPad, Vision Pro) and No Cap (iPhone, iPad, Mac), which have received 50K+ impressions and 5-star reviews. This initiative highlights my ability to take full ownership of projects and bring ideas to fruition, earning me an invitation to WWDC in June 2024.
In addition to my work in design and technology, I create digital illustrations and artworks that are #MadeOniPad. From a young age, I have nurtured a passion for my hobby of creating digital illustrations & artworks. It brings me joy and a sense of pride to possess this extraordinary & sophisticated skill— allowing me to escape reality and view the world differently through a creative and imaginative lens. I've produced unique illustrations and album cover artworks for a variety of musicians and artists, spanning multiple visual styles. My work has been previously featured by Apple, Procreate, and Unsplash.
I earned my Master’s degree in Experience Design from Northeastern University in Massachusetts and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from San Diego State University in California.
When I'm not working or creating, you'll likely find me running, seeking inspiration in serendipitous moments, or spending time with my two dogs— Wrigley & Ducky.
