VirtuRoad
Designing mobile and VR interfaces of a virtual driving simulator.
VirtuRoad is a San Diego-based startup introducing a safe, accessible, and immersive way for young adults to gain driving confidence through virtual reality.
As the Founding UX Designer, I led the design of VirtuRoad’s mobile and mixed reality interfaces and created its complete brand identity from the ground up.

My significant contribution was:

Spatial Interface
Designing iOS & Mixed Reality interfaces of a virtual driving simulator.

Branding
Designing the identity and orchestrating the experience.

Spatial Interface
Goal
Design a dual-platform driving experience: a mobile app for progress tracking and VR interfaces for real-time simulation and instruction.
Mobile UI, VR Interface
I designed a companion iOS app where users could select driving scenarios, view post-session analytics, and track milestones like parallel parking, merging, and stop sign handling. The interface emphasized clarity and minimal friction—ideal for anxious first-time drivers.
Problem
Over 40% of teenagers report being afraid to drive, and more than 25% of young adults delay learning due to growing anxiety. Meanwhile, 58% of parents fear letting their children get behind the wheel.
VR Simulator
VirtuRoad addresses these challenges with a cost-effective, VR-powered simulator that allows users to build driving confidence at their own pace, in a safe and private space.

Branding
Brand Identity
As the founding designer, I wore several hats beyond product UI—creating the VirtuRoad logo, branding guidelines, pitch decks, and investor materials. I helped shape the brand voice, visual identity, and tone for a tech-forward experience.
